Namikaze is truly a hidden gem! One of the things we love most is that we can always find a table without needing a reservation, making it our go-to spot whenever we're craving fresh, clean sushi. The portions are generous, and the food is consistently delicious--flavorful without being overly saucy or heavy, so we leave feeling satisfied but never weighed down. The casual atmosphere is also a big plus, as it makes it easy for us to bring our daughter along and enjoy a great meal as a family. The service is always prompt and friendly, making every visit an enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality Japanese restaurant in town, Namikaze is the place to go!

Was intrigued by their lunch specials where you can choose any two items from a varied menu, ramen, udon, rice bowls, rolls and poke. I had the spicy miso ramen and salmon poke. Only ate the ramen and will have the poke for dinner. A great value for $18.

Tried out Namizake Sushi for lunch, and it turned out to be a great choice for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offer lunch specials, which I hadn't known about before. You can pick two items, and I chose the Crispy Spicy Chicken Rice Bowl and the Ebi Shrimp Roll. Luckily, it wasn't very busy when I arrived, though the crowd did pick up towards the end of my meal. When the food arrived, I was impressed by how delicious it looked. The portions were definitely bigger than I expected. The sushi was fresh and even better with the ginger provided. The chicken was delicious--very crispy and fresh. It wasn't very spicy, but I actually preferred it that way! Overall, it was a great experience and a fantastic lunch special. They also offer a variety of seating options, including low and high top tables, as well as a sushi bar area. Definitely worth a visit!

Had a great experience at Namikaze. Our server was great and food was good. Will have to try the sushi next time we come.

Came here for a couple drinks with some friends and Namikaze did not disappoint. We started off with some of the high end Japanese whiskeys before moving on to cocktails. The bar is a newly added expansion and the selections were good. The craft cocktails had flavors that were well thought out and balanced. After a few drinks my friend ordered some appetizers for us to snack on and everything was good but the bacon fried rice stood out particularly. Our server was friendly and made sure we always had what we needed. The ambiance may not be the most fancy in Fresno but don't let that fool you into thinking this isn't a great place for a food and drink!

My Grandma only likes a few cuisines and places; her most recent favorite being Namikaze. She asked that we dine here for lunch. I was eager to try the restaurant and felt that for Fresno it's a great addition. My Dad made reservations for us. The restaurant is extremely casual, minimal, and relaxed. It's spacious with tables and bar seating for all party sizes. Service is nice and friendly with orders coming out efficiently. The menu is not shy here--appetizers, entrees, rice and noodle dishes, and lots of sushi--a mix of basic and distinct options for all. We shared the Takoyaki and Yasai Tempura. Both are standard and not too impressive. I took advantage of their Lunch Special, ordering Salmon Sashimi and Salmon Poke. The sashimi was a thinner cut and good. The poke bowl comes with your choice of sauces and a base; I chose half salad and half rice. It was loaded with lots of greens but I wish there were more fish. My Grandma, Dad, and Aunt were all satisfied with their choices and we left full. A lot of my family raved about their experience at Namikaze--casual and calm, good food, and affordable. I'd recommend it to others in Fresno who want to satisfy their Japanese food fix. Find the restaurant in Washington Square with ample plaza parking.

They have great quality and good sized sashimi cuts. Remember to ask for real wasabi for the refreshing taste! We also tried their tofu steak and it was 2 large slices of nicely breaded fried tofu (agedashi tofu) with mushrooms, side of miso soup and white rice. We were pleasantly surprised and a perfect dish to share amongst the kids and 2 adult parents. We rarely get to try lunch special and was a good price to try a variety of dishes. My wife liked the spicy miso ramen and the avocado sushi was fresh. Umami soup soba was a bit too sweet for my taste. Wife will try the full size ramen next time since it wasn't enough to fill her up.
